GirlsLift Health Nigeria Leadership Journey 2027 (Fully-funded)

WomenLift Health’s 2027 Nigeria Leadership Journey is a fully-funded, 12-month hybrid program for mid-career women leaders in health++ working in Nigeria, designed to deepen leadership impact through reflection, mentoring, and a global network.

What it offers

• Fully funded: All program costs, including travel and lodging, are covered.
• Hybrid format: Combines virtual and in-person elements.
• Total learning hours: Approximately 87 hours, including touchpoints and a Health Leadership Project.
• Effort: 4–8 hours per month.
• Support: Mentoring, coaching, assessments, virtual group mentoring, one-on-one coaching, and two in-person residencies (Immersion and Lift-Off).
• Network: Lifelong global network of allies and advocates for women’s leadership.

Who can apply

• Identify as a woman.
• Demonstrate fluency and confidence in written and verbal English, including reflective dialogue and complex conversations.
• Be a citizen who resides and works within Nigeria.
• Live in WAT (+/-1 hour) time zones for at least 75% of the program.
• Be a mid-career leader with 10–25 years of work experience in health++.
• Health++ includes interconnected fields such as climate change, food systems, agriculture, water and sanitation, education, economic policy, gender equity, and technology.
• Represent diverse sectors (public, private, academia, NGO, philanthropy), disciplines, and cultural backgrounds.

What you'll do

• Participate in two in-person experiential learning residencies: Immersion (28–30 July 2027, with travel days on 27 July and 31 July 2027) and Lift-Off (26–27 April 2028, with travel days on 25 April and 28 April 2028).
• Engage in virtual learning touchpoints, group mentoring, and one-on-one coaching.
• Complete a self-directed Health Leadership Project.
• Attend mandatory sessions—all touchpoints and in-person residencies are required.

  • Your significant contributions and leadership capacity.
  • Your strongest personal quality relevant to the Journey.
  • How the Journey will enhance your leadership knowledge and skills.
• Upload and submit the letter as part of your application by the deadline.
• Applications close at 11:59pm, September 18, 2026.

• The program runs from August 10, 2026 – October 31, 2026.
• Only 30 women will be selected per cohort.
