Refund and Cancellation Policy

This Refund and Cancellation Policy sets out the terms that apply to all paid subscriptions purchased on MaPage Africa (https://mapage.africa). It explains how billing works, how you can cancel, and the circumstances in which you may be entitled to a refund. By subscribing to a paid plan, you agree to the terms set out below. If you have any questions, please contact us at info@mapage.africa before making a purchase.

1. Scope

This policy applies to all paid subscriptions and options offered by MaPage Africa, including digital business cards (vCards), WhatsApp shops, and business directory listings. MaPage Africa provides only digital services; we do not sell, ship, or deliver any physical goods. These terms apply in addition to our other published terms and policies on our website.

2. Digital nature of the service

All products and features offered by MaPage Africa are digital services. When you subscribe to a paid plan, you gain immediate access to the corresponding tools and features. Because access is granted instantly and the service is delivered electronically, the rules typically applicable to physical products do not apply here. The refund terms described below are designed to remain fair to you while accounting for the immediate and digital nature of our service.

3. Free plan and trial

We strongly encourage you to try MaPage Africa before paying. We offer a free plan and trial so you can explore the features, create your digital business card or shop, and verify at no cost that the service meets your needs. Using the free plan is the best way to ensure a paid subscription is right for you before any charges are made.

4. Subscription billing

Paid plans are offered on a recurring basis and are billed in advance:

  • Subscriptions may be billed monthly or annually, depending on the plan you choose.
  • Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing period (each month or year) using the selected payment method, unless you cancel beforehand.
  • Prices are billed in FCFA (XOF), Ghanaian cedis (GHS), or USD, depending on your choice at the time of payment.
  • The applicable price and billing frequency are shown to you before you confirm your purchase.

5. Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time. You have two options:

  • From your account dashboard, via the subscription or billing settings; or
  • By emailing us at info@mapage.africa from the email address associated with your account.

When you cancel, your subscription remains active and you retain access to all paid features until the end of the billing period you have already paid for. After that, the subscription will not renew and no further charges will be made to your payment method. Cancellation ends future billing; it does not, on its own, trigger a refund for the current period.

6. Refunds

We want you to be happy with MaPage Africa. We offer a fair 14-day refund period (satisfaction guaranteed) on your first paid subscription, subject to the following conditions:

  • The refund request must be made within 14 days of your first paid charge.
  • The refund applies only to a first paid subscription and only if the service has not been substantially used during this period.
  • After the 14-day period, we do not grant refunds for partially used billing periods.

To request a refund, email info@mapage.africa with your account details (the email address associated with your account and your payment reference). Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method, typically within 14 business days after approval. The time it takes for funds to appear may also depend on your bank or payment provider.

7. Exceptions

Refunds are not available in the following cases:

  • Renewals of an existing subscription (monthly or annual renewals).
  • Options or services already delivered or activated.
  • Accounts suspended or terminated for violation of our terms of use.

8. Consumer rights under Beninese law

MaPage Africa operates from the Republic of Benin. This policy is governed by the laws of the Republic of Benin, including Law No. 2017-20 of April 20, 2018, establishing the Digital Code, which regulates e-commerce. No provision of this policy limits or removes your mandatory legal consumer rights under applicable law; these rights are fully preserved and apply in addition to the terms set out here.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Refund and Cancellation Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our services or legal requirements. If we do, we will publish the updated policy on our website with a new effective date. Continued use of MaPage Africa after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

10. Contact

If you have any questions about this policy, your subscription, or a refund request, please contact us at info@mapage.africa. We’d be happy to help.
