National Chicks is recruiting a Site Foreman to oversee poultry-breeder operations at its Cato Ridge farm in Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal.

• Minimum of a grade 12 education
• Minimum of 3 years breeder experience
• Tertiary education in agriculture is an added advantage
• Must be passionate, self-motivated and performance driven
• Must have good administrative skills and ability to control documents
• Must be proactive

What you'll do

• Plan, organise, lead and control all aspects of assigned duties to meet production standards
• Conduct site visits
• Stand in for the Senior Site Foreman & Farm Manager when required
• Manage all labour-related issues to ensure staff contribute to company objectives
• Maintain product quality, hygiene and biosecurity standards
• Manage resources to maximise company benefit
• Implement and manage continuous improvement via the 20 Keys principles
• Manage health, safety and risk on site
• Report to the Senior Site Foreman / Farm Manager
