Health & Safety Specialist (Fixed-Term)

Tupande, part of One Acre Fund, is hiring a fixed-term Health & Safety Specialist to oversee food safety systems and workplace safety at its factories in Kenya.

What it offers

• Lead design and implementation of internal controls and health & safety systems for Tupande factories.
• Build and run food safety systems (HACCP, FSSC 22000, GlobalG.A.P.) and set tracking KPIs.
• Conduct regular factory inspections for compliance with safety and legal standards.
• Perform swab tests, chemical and moisture checks, and verify factory lab accuracy.
• Test product recall systems to ensure traceability from farm to bag within 4 hours.
• Conduct surprise checks on cleaning, allergen controls, and germ prevention.
• Assess workplace hazards and ensure compliance with OSHA standards.
