National IC to support the mapping power for scaling agroecology implementation

The UNDP is seeking a National Implementation Coordinator to support the mapping and scaling of agroecology initiatives in Uganda. This role focuses on agroecology implementation, requiring expertise in sustainable agriculture practices and project coordination. The position is critical for advancing agroecological farming and ensuring its adoption across the country.

Who can apply

Applicants must be Ugandan nationals with a relevant degree (e.g., agriculture, environmental science, or related field) and at least 5 years of experience in agroecology, sustainable agriculture, or project management. Knowledge of Uganda’s agricultural landscape and experience working with UNDP or similar organizations are highly preferred.

• Coordinate and lead the mapping of agroecological practices across Uganda.
• Develop and implement strategies to scale agroecology implementation.
• Collaborate with government agencies, NGOs, and local communities to ensure alignment with national agroecology goals.
• Monitor and evaluate progress toward agroecological targets.
• Provide technical support to stakeholders involved in agroecology initiatives.
