Head of Commercial Strategy and Execution

One Acre Fund is seeking a Head of Commercial Strategy and Execution to lead its commercial vision in Uganda, bridging strategy with rural execution and overseeing market access and retail operations.

What it offers

• Ownership of the full P&L, including revenue growth, margin optimization, and capital allocation
• Leadership of a diverse portfolio covering cash crops (Coffee and Macadamia) and rural retail input sales
• Responsibility for end-to-end execution of crop buybacks and input sales, ensuring quality standards and last-mile distribution

Who can apply

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Agricultural Economics, Marketing, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in business development, market access, or commercial strategy
• Deep understanding of agricultural value chains; experience with Coffee or Macadamia is strongly preferred

What you'll do

• Define the 3–5 year commercial roadmap for Uganda through value chain analyses
• Build and manage a structured pipeline of commercial pilots, testing new market access and retail models
• Manage partnerships with buyers, processors, and distributors to strengthen value chains
• Directly manage two workstream leads and foster a high-performing commercial team
