Volunteer with CorpsAfrica and spend one year living and working in a rural community in your own country, co-designing and implementing small-scale projects that address local needs while gaining leadership skills and professional experience.

What it offers

Who can apply

• Must be at least 21 years of age at the start of service.
• Must be a citizen of Côte d’Ivoire, Ethiopia, The Gambia, Ghana, Kenya, Malawi, Morocco, Rwanda, Senegal, South Africa, or Uganda.
• Must have a university degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Must be willing and able to serve for the entire service year in rural and remote communities.

• Address essential needs in areas such as health, education, environment, water and sanitation, gender, agriculture, and business.

• Complete the online application during an open cycle, highlighting your skills, experience, and motivation.
• After submitting your application, your materials, including written essays and professional references, will be reviewed by the country office.
• Shortlisted candidates will be invited to participate in an interview.
• Selected Volunteers attend an intensive training program focused on community integration, project design, leadership, and program readiness.

• CorpsAfrica will only communicate via official @corpsafrica.org email domains.
• The selection process typically takes about three months from the close of applications to the start of Pre-Service Training.
• Volunteers come from diverse educational and professional backgrounds, including agriculture, gender, health, education, water and sanitation, environment, business, engineering, and more.
