CorpsAfrica’s Dakar-based internship offers hands-on experience in documenting and amplifying the impact of community-led projects through storytelling, digital content, and stakeholder communications.

What it offers

• Six-month internship in Dakar with occasional travel to volunteer sites

Who can apply

• Hold a bachelor’s degree in communication, journalism, media studies, marketing, public relations, development studies, or a related field
• Have legal authorization to work full-time in Senegal without requiring employment sponsorship

What you'll do

• Create written content: volunteer testimonials, blog posts, newsletters, website updates, donor reports, and human-interest stories
• Produce and curate photos and videos for social media and stakeholder communications
• Design simple visuals using Canva or similar tools
• Monitor social-media mentions and engagement metrics; compile basic performance analyses
• Conduct media and partner research; update stakeholder contact lists and databases
• Document events, workshops, trainings, and field visits with photos, videos, live posts, and post-event summaries
• Organize digital files, maintain communication tracking tools, assist with printing, branding, and logistical support
