Concours pénitentiaire 2026 offers 490 direct-recruitment posts across four career streams in Cameroon’s prison service, with a single national deadline and exam window.

What it offers

• 490 total places split into four categories:
  • Category A (Administrateurs des prisons): 20 places, requires a Licence/Bachelor, age 17–30, dossier fee 50 000 FCFA
  • Category B (Intendants des prisons): 50 places, requires Baccalauréat/GCE A/L, age 17–30, dossier fee 50 000 FCFA
  • Category C (Gardiens-chefs des prisons): 50 places, requires BEPC/GCE O/L, age 17–28, dossier fee 50 000 FCFA
  • Category D (Gardiens des prisons): 370 places, requires CEP/FSLC, age 17–27, dossier fee 46 000 FCFA
• Examination period: 5–11 October 2026
• Dossier submission deadline: 4 September 2026

Who can apply

• Nationality: Must be Cameroonian
• Height: ≥155 cm (women), ≥165 cm (men)
• Age bands per category as above

How to apply

• Assemble a dossier including: handwritten application on stamped paper, height certificate, criminal record extract (bulletin N°3), proof of original diploma presentation, CV, photos, and payment receipts.
• Submit the complete dossier before 4 September 2026 to be eligible for the October exams.
