L’École Nationale de l’Administration Pénitentiaire (ENAP) ouvre 490 postes pour quatre corps pénitentiaires camerounais.

What it offers

Who can apply

• Nationality: Must be Cameroonian.
• Height: At least 1.55 m for women and 1.65 m for men.
• Health: No conditions qualifying for long-term sick leave.
• Age and diploma: Must meet the specific requirements of the chosen competition.
• Functionaries: Not open to current prison administration staff (except for the Gardiens corps).
• Married women: Must include a legally authenticated husband’s undertaking to accept national posting.

What you'll do

• Undergo physical tests (100 m sprint, 1 000 m or 1 500 m endurance run, muscular endurance exercise).
• Sit written exams in General Culture, Penitentiary Administration, Law, Citizenship Education, Mathematics, depending on the corps.
• Attend an oral interview (Administrators and Intendants only) in both official languages.
• Pass a final medical examination.

How to apply

Submit a complete dossier by 4 September 2026 to Regional Delegations of Penitentiary Administration:

• Handwritten application on 1 500 FCFA stamped paper to the Minister of Justice.
• Certified copy of diploma (<3 months).
• Birth certificate copy (<3 months).
• Criminal record extract (<3 months).
• Stamped height certificate.
• Medical certificate (<3 months).
• 25 000 FCFA (Administrators, Intendants, Gardiens-Chefs) or 20 000 FCFA (Gardiens) postal money order.
• A4 stamped envelope, two signed 4×4 photos, and an unsigned CV.

Good to know

• Elimination threshold: 6/20 in any subject or physical test.
• Written exams: 5–8 October 2026 (prescreening), 10–11 October 2026 (written).
• Oral exams: Only for Administrators and Intendants who score ≥11/20 average and no eliminatory mark.
• Exam locations: All regional capitals except Administrators, who sit in Yaoundé.
• Bring national ID, dossier receipt, and writing materials.
