United World Colleges (UWC) Scholarships

UWC offers need-based scholarships to attend its schools, covering most or all costs for selected students.

What it offers

• Scholarships can be all-inclusive, full, up to fully funded, or partial.
• Covered expenses typically include:
  • Tuition
  • Room and board
  • Books
  • IB exam registration fees
  • Curricular field trips
  • Project weeks
  • Visa and travel expenses (flights to/from the school and one return flight for the holiday between year 1 and 2)
  • Pocket money
  • Other reasonable extra expenses

Who can apply

• Applicants must apply via their national committee of residency or citizenship.
• More than 80% of students selected by national committees receive full or partial scholarships.
• Students are selected based on promise and potential, not financial circumstances.

• Apply through your national committee if you need financial support.
• If you do not need a scholarship, consider the Global Selection Programme (GSP).

• Fee ranges for the two IBDP years (2025 entry) vary by school:
  • UWC Mostar, Waterford Kamhlaba UWC of Southern Africa: USD 45,000–70,000
  • UWC Mahindra College, UWC East Africa: USD 71,000–80,000
  • UWC Costa Rica, UWC Dilijan: USD 81,000–90,000
  • UWC Red Cross Nordic, UWC Maastricht, UWC ISAK Japan, UWC Thailand, UWC Changshu China: USD 91,000–110,000
  • Pearson College, UWC-USA, Li Po Chun UWC of Hong Kong: USD 111,000–130,000
  • UWC Atlantic: USD 150,000–160,000
• Fees are collected in local currencies but displayed in USD for comparison.
• Air travel, pocket money, trips during term, and some personal expenses are not included in the fee range.
