American International School of Lusaka Scholarships

The American International School of Lusaka (AISL) offers a Merit Scholarship for Zambian students to attend its high school and earn an American High School Diploma and the International Baccalaureate Diploma.

What it offers

• Full AISL tuition fees
• A loaned iPad/Laptop and calculator
• All examination and university application fees
• University and scholarship guidance
• Transport to and from school on an established bus route
• Opportunities to participate in fully-funded school-sponsored trips in Zambia and overseas

Who can apply

• Highly capable and motivated Zambian students
• Students with significant financial need

• Perform at a very high level academically
• Participate in a comprehensive co-curricular programme

How to apply

A complete application consists of:

• Completed Application Form (signed by the applicant and parent/guardian)
• Copy of the child’s birth record or affidavit
• Gr. 9 Junior Secondary School Leaving Examinations (JSSLE) results or equivalent (if taken)
• Most recent school report
• Completed Writing Assignment
• Completed Mathematics Assignment

Good to know

• The scholarship does not include boarding, housing, or financial assistance after leaving the school or beyond that stipulated in the scholarship contract.
• Since its inception in 2013, AISL has selected eighteen recipients of the scholarship.
• Out of the ten merit scholars who have graduated from AISL, five have received full scholarships to attend American universities.
