The Jones & Wagener Bursary programme for students at South African universities

The Jones & Wagener Bursary programme supports South African students pursuing Civil Engineering, Geology, Geochemistry or Environmental degrees by covering tuition and potentially accommodation and textbooks.

What it offers

• Tuition fees covered as a minimum
• Possible additional support for accommodation and a limited textbook allowance

Who can apply

• South African students currently studying or in Grade 12
• Applicants must have achieved at least 75% in both Maths and Physical Science
• Bursaries aim to reflect South Africa’s population composition in line with Black Economic Empowerment

What you'll do

• Complete six weeks of paid vacation work at Jones & Wagener offices in Rivonia or Centurion during July and/or December recess
• After graduation, work for Jones & Wagener for a period equal to the duration of the bursary

How to apply

• Submit an online application form
• Provide:
  • Personal details including ID number and ID photo
  • Academic records
  • Digital copies of ID, CV, academic records, and a recent colour photograph
• Ensure the form is completed in full and legible writing
• Applications close on 31 July

Good to know

• Applications are assessed based on academic merit, financial need, and company-specific considerations
• If no response is received by 31 October, the application is considered unsuccessful
