Human Resource Management Internship Programme

The AfCFTA Secretariat offers a Human Resource Management internship in Ghana for final-year students in translation/interpreting to gain practical experience in a continental trade initiative.

What it offers

• A six-month internship in Ghana, renewable once.
• Exposure to AfCFTA operations and a multicultural team.
• Opportunity to translate working documents or assist in interpretation during meetings.

Who can apply

• Nationals of an African Union member state residing in Ghana.
• Final-year students enrolled full-time in a recognized institution in Interpretation and/or Translation.
• Must be available for a minimum of three months.
• Fluency in at least one AU official language (English, French, Portuguese, Arabic, Kiswahili, Spanish) and proficiency in another is an advantage.
• Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office, and ability to work in a multicultural environment.

What you'll do

• Translate working documents between English/French and the AU working language.
• Assist in interpretation during meetings and discussions.

How to apply

• Submit an online application via the AfCFTA Secretariat’s system.
• First-time users must register before logging in.
• Provide:
  • A motivation letter addressed to the Administration and Human Resources Directorate outlining expected learning outcomes.
  • A copy of a valid passport or identity card.
  • Current CV (using the mandatory AU CV template).
