Senior Coordinator, GIS / Data Analyst (Jigawa)

eHealth Africa is seeking a Senior Coordinator, GIS/Data Analyst to lead geospatial services in Jigawa State, integrating GIS into health system planning and decision-making.

Who can apply

• Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Geography, Environmental Science, Data Science, Public Health, or related field; Master’s preferred.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of relevant GIS experience, preferably in the NGO or development sector.
• Familiarity with ArcGIS Online, Power BI, GPS data collection tools (e.g., ODK, Kobo), and spatial databases.
• Advanced knowledge of GIS surveying equipment, computer hardware, plotter/printer setup, and GPS.
• ACAP, GISP Certification or equivalent is a plus.

• Support organizational spatial strategies, data standards, and geospatial system architecture.
• Manage GIS service delivery across programs and initiatives.
• Translate complex spatial data into actionable insights for stakeholders and decision-makers.
• Engage with senior leadership, technical advisors, and field teams to define spatial data needs.
• Collaborate with IT, M&E, and research teams to align GIS with analytics platforms and reporting ecosystems.
• Implement and manage GIS dashboards, mobile tools, and digital platforms.
• Ensure adherence to geospatial metadata standards, version control, data governance, and ethical data-sharing practices.
• Monitor the impact of GIS tools and refine methodologies based on performance metrics and feedback.
• Design and oversee advanced geospatial analyses, including service coverage assessments, catchment modeling, and predictive mapping.
• Advise program teams and proposal developers on geospatial tool integration and donor compliance.
