Accountant

Accountant needed in Nigeria to keep the books accurate and compliant.

What you'll do

• Maintain journals, ledgers, and general accounts.
• Record and process daily financial transactions promptly and accurately.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Generate income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
• Prepare and file tax returns ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable for timely payments and collections.
• Perform bank reconciliations and reconcile general ledger accounts regularly.
• Investigate and resolve financial discrepancies.
• Prepare documentation for internal and external audits.
• Ensure compliance with company financial policies, accounting standards, and internal controls.
• Support budget preparation, financial planning, and forecasting activities.
• Assist management by providing accurate financial analysis and reports for decision-making.

Who can apply

• Minimum of 3 years' relevant accounting experience.
• Minimum of an OND in accountancy, business administration, economics, or any related discipline.
• Professional accounting certification (ICAN, ACCA, or ATS) is an added advantage.
