Media & Journalism Scholarships for African and Developing Countries at The Netherlands

The Orange Knowledge Programme (OKP) has been discontinued and no new applications will be accepted in 2025 or the near future.

What it offers

• Scholarships for media and journalism courses at RNTC in the Netherlands, including:
  • Media Campaigns for Social Change and Advocacy
  • Digital Content Creation
  • Digital Media to Counter Disinformation and Hate Speech
  • Public Interest Journalism

Who can apply

• Nationals who live and work in one of the 37 OKP-eligible countries.
• Mid-career professionals.
• Applicants who have an employer statement in the exact format provided by Nuffic.
• Applicants with an official and valid identification document.
• Applicants who are not attending two or more courses at the same time.
• Applicants who provide a government statement if required for their country.

How to apply

• Phase 1: Registration
  • Register on the RNTC website and check country eligibility.
  • Select a course and submit registration.
  • RNTC assesses registration and sends a Delta application link if eligible.
• Phase 2: Application in Delta
  • Complete and submit the Delta application in one go before the deadline.
  • Upload required documents in PDF format, not exceeding 2 MB.
  • Required documents:
    • Valid identification document (passport valid at least three months after course end date or national identity card).
    • Employer statement in the exact format provided by Nuffic, signed and stamped by supervisor.
    • Government statement, if applicable for your country.
  • Prepare motivation answers in advance and copy/paste them into the Delta application.

Good to know

• Applications are reviewed based on how they fit the embassy's country focus.
• RNTC will send a status update on your Delta application (complete or incomplete).
• The Dutch embassy in your country selects scholarship recipients from shortlisted candidates.
• RNTC will contact nominated candidates.
