Finance Trainee

One Acre Fund’s Finance Trainee role is a paid internship for early-career accounting professionals who want to build technical finance skills while contributing to smallholder farmer resilience.

Who can apply

• Citizens or permanent residents of Rwanda
• Hold a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Have at least one year of experience in a busy finance department
• Demonstrate strong technical and communication skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace

What you'll do

• Assist in preparing, organizing, and maintaining financial documentation and trackers
• Support financial planning, data analysis, and process improvements
• Record transactions in SAP and prepare journal entries under supervision
• Support monthly closing activities, including reconciliations and schedule maintenance
• Process vendor, staff, and operational payments and resolve payment errors
• Maintain payment trackers, cash balance reports, and audit documentation
