One Acre Fund is seeking a Finance Associate to support financial planning, grants management, and compliance for its Uganda program.⁠​​‌​‌​​‌​​​‌​​‌‌‌​‌​​‌‌‌‌‌​‌​​‌​⁠

What it offers

Who can apply

• Citizens or permanent residents of Uganda, Rwanda, or Kenya
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration
• Over 4 years of progressive finance, consulting, or strategic advisory experience
• Full professional qualification in ACCA or CPA (U)
• Experience managing multi-currency grants from major donors
• Fluency in Power BI and Google Sheets, with intermediate Microsoft Excel modeling skills

What you'll do

• Lead 5-year rolling forecasts and financial models aligned with operational and impact assumptions
• Provide financial advice on strategic initiatives using sensitivity analyses
• Direct monthly financial reporting and Budget vs. Actual (BVA) processes
• Oversee grants lifecycle: compliance, reporting, tracking systems, and donor budget development
• Manage fund flow models to ensure liquidity for restricted activities
• Lead preparation and filing of Uganda-specific tax returns and statutory obligations
• Serve as primary contact for internal and external audits
• Identify control weaknesses and drive process improvements and governance frameworks
