Fraud Desk Officer

Moniepoint is seeking a Fraud Desk Officer to monitor and counter fraudulent activity across its payment and banking platforms in Lagos, Nigeria.

What you'll do

• Investigate fraudulent or suspicious transactions reported internally or externally.
• Analyse transaction patterns for red flags, unusual activity, or emerging fraud typologies.
• Flag high-risk merchants and recommend onboarding restrictions.
• Maintain detailed case logs and ensure all fraud cases are closed with sufficient supporting evidence.
• Coordinate with law enforcement, regulatory agencies, and industry peers during fraud cases.
• Recommend control and system improvements to proactively prevent future fraud.
• Design and deliver fraud awareness training sessions across internal departments.
