Rwanda Driver (Fixed-Term)

One Acre Fund is seeking a fixed-term driver in Kigali, Rwanda, to transport agricultural and non-agricultural supplies, maintain the fleet, and gather operational insights for future electric truck adoption. What it offers

• Transport agricultural and non-agricultural inputs between assigned sites, ensuring timely deliveries and cargo integrity.
• Conduct weekly vehicle checks, minor repairs, and proactive route planning for electric trucks.
• Manage documentation (Delivery Notes, Load Cards) and communicate operational data (GPS, battery levels, road conditions).

Who can apply

What you'll do

• Transport cargo between sites, load/unload trucks, and verify cargo accuracy.
• Secure materials in transit, perform vehicle maintenance, and mitigate risks (e.g., accidents, theft).
• Document deliveries, notify managers of issues (accidents, unavailability), and gather route/battery data.
• Ensure vehicle safety, compliance with road regulations, and availability of required supplies (insurance, first aid kit).

Good to know
