Deputy Project Coordinator

Deputy Project Coordinator with Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) in Kenya’s Dagahaley Refugee Camp.

What it offers

• 12-month contract with 3 months’ probation period
• Role based in Dagahaley Refugee camp, Dagahaley, Garissa County
• Start date: ASAP – latest 15 July 2026

Who can apply

• Preferably a medical or paramedical qualification or university-level studies
• At least two years’ humanitarian aid experience with MSF or another international NGO
• Experience working in developing countries and/or remote or hardship locations
• Security management and context analysis in volatile or insecure environments
• Stakeholder management and community engagement
• Supervision or manager experience
• Fluency in English, Swahili and Somali
• Essential computer literacy (Word, Excel and internet)

What you'll do

• Support the Project Coordinator in defining project objectives and priorities
• Contribute to analysis of political, humanitarian, economic and social context
• Support planning, implementation, monitoring and follow-up of project activities
• Participate in project security management and represent MSF at project level
• Support human resources management, including staff induction and performance evaluation
• Participate in exploratory and assessment missions
• Monitor contextual and security developments and implement safety measures
• Maintain engagement with local stakeholders and community representatives
• Ensure adherence to MSF policies, protocols and operational standards
• Promote MSF’s principles of neutrality, independence and impartiality
