Legal & Compliance Officer

Legal & Compliance Officer at Pishon & Brooks Advisory Services in Lagos, Nigeria is a full-time position reporting to the Head Legal/Company Secretary. This role focuses on providing legal guidance, drafting compliance policies, managing litigation, and ensuring adherence to Nigerian laws such as NDPA, GDPR, AML, CAMA, and IP regulations. The officer will also handle company secretarial duties, including maintaining records, preparing board documents, and liaising with regulatory bodies like the CAC and NDPC. Intellectual property management is also part of the scope, covering trademarks, copyrights, and patents. The position requires an LLB or equivalent law degree (BL from Nigerian Law School), 5+ years of experience in legal/compliance roles, and expertise in Nigerian legal frameworks. Strong communication, stakeholder management, and project coordination skills are essential, along with proficiency in MS Office and policy research experience.
