WoMin, an African ecofeminist alliance founded in October 2013, seeks a Grants and Contracts Officer to remotely support donor relations, grants administration, and partnership contracting. This role focuses on strengthening accountability, compliance, and information management while advocating for women’s rights and ecologically just alternatives. The position emphasizes collaboration with women’s organizations, peasants, and mining-impacted communities across Africa. The ideal candidate will have strong administrative, communication, and multitasking skills, with a preference for applicants from Southern, East, West, or Central Africa who are non-South African and Black women.
What it offers
The Grants and Contracts Officer will manage donor relations, grants administration, and contract relations. Key responsibilities include maintaining donor registers, coordinating reporting schedules, tracking donor queries, and supporting proposal development. The role also involves managing partner contracts, due diligence, and information systems to ensure alignment with organizational and donor requirements. Secondary tasks include maintaining databases and contributing to organizational capacity-building.
Who can apply
This position requires 5–9 years of experience in projects and programme administration or coordination, preferably in national/regional NGOs or non-profits. A bachelor’s degree in social sciences, information management, or a related field is desirable. The applicant must be a non-South African Black woman from Southern, East, West, or Central Africa, with proficiency in English and a second widely spoken African language (e.g., Swahili, French, Portuguese, Arabic, Fulani).
