PASS Scholarship Programme — Domestic Study Route

The PASS Scholarship Program by the Padoc Area Scholars Society provides full-ride scholarships to academically qualified, financially disadvantaged South Sudanese youth, including those from refugee camps in neighboring countries. The scholarships cover 100% of tuition, fees, books, and a living stipend for up to four years, with priority given to young women and marginalized groups. Eligible fields include Health, Engineering, Urban Planning, Social Work, Entrepreneurship, and more, supporting South Sudan’s development needs. Renewal requires maintaining a GPA of 2.8 or higher annually and demonstrating continued financial need.

Who can apply

The scholarship is open to South Sudanese students (from all tribes, states, or refugee camps) who meet financial need and academic merit. Eligibility includes:

• Entering students: A 75% (B-) or higher on the national high school exit exam, a certified high school certificate, admission to an eligible institution, and proof of financial hardship.
• Continuing students: A GPA of 2.8 or higher (4.0 scale), evidence of continued financial need, and re-enrollment for the next academic year.

What you'll do

Students must maintain a GPA of 2.8 or higher each year to renew their scholarships. They must also demonstrate continued financial need and remain in good academic standing. The program prioritizes students who contribute to South Sudan’s development through their studies.

How to apply

1. Submit certified academic records (high school exam score report, high school certificate, or college transcript).
2. Provide proof of admission to an eligible institution (e.g., admission letter or enrollment confirmation).
3. Upload a brief statement explaining family financial hardship.
4. Include a recent passport-sized photo.

• No application fee is required.
