The FOR-GHP Fellowship is a 1.5-year fellowship funded by the German Federal Ministry of Health under the Global Health Protection Programme (GHPP). It aims to enhance outbreak readiness and public health emergency preparedness in sub-Saharan Africa through a blended-learning training-of-trainers (ToT) approach. The programme focuses on One Health principles, digital and in-person training, and equips fellows to become multipliers and leaders in their institutions, fostering long-term sustainability via an alumni network. It targets public health professionals with expertise in infectious disease management, offering no tuition fees and a certificate with 10 ECTS points upon completion.

Who can apply
Applicants must be permanent residents or employed in sub-Saharan Africa, with:
- At least 2 years of professional experience in public health or biomedical sectors, preferably in infectious disease management.
- A degree in Public Health, Medicine, Epidemiology, Microbiology, Biology, or allied health sciences.
- Advanced English proficiency (TOEFL/IELTS scores or native speaker status).
- Endorsement from current employer confirming release for workshops and case study implementation.
- Two reference letters (recent, contactable).
