LeadGreen Leaders Program 2026 for Young African Climate Changemakers

LeadGreen is now accepting applications for the 2026 Leaders Program, an online, 12-week fellowship that equips young African environmental changemakers with skills, mentorship, and actionable projects to drive local climate solutions.

What it offers

• 12-week online program delivered through weekly live masterclasses, peer learning, and self-paced modules
• Environmental Foundations covering plastic pollution, waste management, deforestation, biodiversity loss, flooding, and climate change
• Green Skills & Solutions in waste management, recycling, climate action, afforestation, sustainable living, and green technology
• Environmental Action Missions where fellows design and implement community-based projects and document their impact
• Community & Impact network connecting fellows with peers and practitioners across Africa

Who can apply

• Open to university students or recent graduates aged 18–29
• Applicants must come from a low-income or first-generation background
• No prior leadership experience required—only a commitment to environmental impact

What you'll do

• Complete 3 hours per week of coursework, live sessions, and project work
• Participate in structured missions that turn learning into real environmental action in your community
• Collaborate with a global cohort of African changemakers and build a network for long-term impact
