Tax & Cash Accountant

Barry Callebaut Cameroun is hiring a Tax & Cash Accountant to join its finance team in Douala.

Who can apply

• Bac+3 in Accounting, Finance or a related field (Master is an additional asset).
• 4 to 6 years of professional experience in Finance or Accounting.
• Solid knowledge of tax accounting.
• Strong written and oral French; English is an asset.
• Proficiency with SAP/ERP, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with the Cameroonian tax system.
• Experience in a multinational, ideally B2B or agri-food environment.
• Experience with process transformation projects is an advantage.
• Strong teamwork, client orientation and results-driven mindset.

What you'll do

• Manage company bank accounts and ensure compliance with Barry Callebaut Group policies.
• Maintain effective bank relationships for smooth banking operations.
• Update bank signatory powers and lists regularly.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and clear suspense accounts.
• Develop and monitor cash flow forecasts.
• Track supplier payments for foreign goods and services.
• Oversee AP reporting and intercompany transactions performed by the GBS.
• Ensure proper reconciliation of tax accounts.
• Document VAT credit operations appropriately.
• Prepare and submit monthly tax declarations on time.
• Record cash and tax transactions under SYSCOHADA standards.
• Assist in preparing statutory financial statements under SYSCOHADA.
• Support the Accounting & Reporting Manager during tax audits and follow up on audit recommendations.
