WomenLift Health 2027 Nigeria Leadership Journey

WomenLift Health’s 2027 Nigeria Leadership Journey is a fully funded, 12-month hybrid program for mid-career women leaders in health++ in Nigeria, combining virtual and in-person elements to build leadership skills and impact.

What it offers

• Fully funded: All program costs, including travel and lodging, are covered.
• Hybrid format: Combines virtual touchpoints and two in-person residencies.
• Total learning hours: Approximately 87 hours, including virtual sessions and a Health Leadership Project.
• Effort: 4–8 hours each month.
• In-person residencies:
  • Immersion: 3-day residency (28–30 July 2027), including travel days (27 July and 31 July 2027).
  • Lift-Off: 2-day residency (26–27 April 2028), including travel days (25 April and 28 April 2028).
• Location: In-person residencies will be communicated to selected participants.
• Support: Mentoring, coaching, assessments, virtual learning touchpoints, and a self-directed Health Leadership Project.

Who can apply

• Identify as a woman.
• Demonstrate fluency and confidence in written and verbal English.
• Be a citizen who resides and works within Nigeria.
• Live in WAT (+/-1 hour) time zones for at least 75% of the program.
• Be a mid-career leader with 10–25 years of work experience in health++.
• Health++ includes interconnected fields such as climate change, food systems, agriculture, water and sanitation, education, economic policy, gender equity, and technology.

What you'll do

• Participate in two in-person experiential learning residencies (Immersion and Lift-Off).
• Engage in virtual learning touchpoints, group mentoring, and one-on-one coaching.
• Complete a self-directed Health Leadership Project.
• Join a lifelong network of allies at local, regional, and global levels.

• The letter should address:
  • Your significant contributions to your professional field.
  • Your strongest personal quality that qualifies you for selection.
  • How the Leadership Journey will enhance your leadership knowledge and skills.

• 30 women will be selected per cohort.
• Accepting a place means committing to full participation in all touchpoints and residencies.
