WomenLift Health Nigeria Leadership Journey 2027 (Fully-funded)

WomenLift Health’s fully funded Nigeria Leadership Journey 2027 is a 12-month hybrid program for mid-career women leaders in health++ who want to deepen their leadership impact through mentoring, coaching, and a Health Leadership Project.

What it offers

• Free program (all costs covered, including travel and lodging)
• Approx. 4–8 hours each month of effort
• Total learning hours: ~87 hours (virtual/in-person touchpoints + Health Leadership Project)
• Two in-person residencies: Immersion (3 days, 28–30 July 2027) and Lift-Off (2 days, 26–27 April 2028), with travel days included
• Virtual group mentoring, one-on-one coaching, and peer learning
• Health Leadership Project (self-directed)
• Lifelong global network of women leaders

Who can apply

• Identify as a woman
• Fluent and confident in written and verbal English (ability to articulate emotions, engage in reflective dialogue, and integrate leadership concepts)
• Citizen and resident working in Nigeria
• Live in WAT (+/-1 hour) time zones for ≥75% of the program
• Mid-career leader with 10–25 years’ experience in health++ (Health++ spans climate, food systems, water/sanitation, education, economic policy, gender equity, technology, etc.)
• Sector diversity encouraged (public, private, academia, NGO, philanthropy, etc.)

What you'll do

• Participate in mandatory live, small-group sessions (virtual and in-person)
• Complete a self-directed Health Leadership Project
• Engage in reflective dialogue, complex conversations, and leadership practice
• Commit to full participation across all touchpoints

• Include one letter of recommendation (from supervisor, senior leader, or health community leader) addressing:
  • Your leadership contributions
  • Your strongest personal quality
  • How the Journey will enhance your skills
• Ensure all materials are uploaded by the deadline

Good to know

• 30 women are selected per cohort
• Program runs August 10, 2026 – October 31, 2026 (with in-person residencies in July 2027 and April 2028)
