Implats Vacation Work Programme 2026

Implats’ 2026 Vacation Students programme offers children of Impala Platinum employees a short, paid work placement during the December/January university break.

What it offers

• Temporary employment during December/January holidays
• Placement aligned with the student’s field of study where possible

Who can apply

• Only children of Impala Platinum Refineries / Head Office / BIIS employees (child must be registered on SAP)
• Full-time student at a recognised tertiary institution
• Must have completed the first year of tertiary studies in 2026 (NQF level 5 and above)
• Must pass a medical examination

What you'll do

• Gain relevant work experience in a role connected to your studies

How to apply

• Complete the Vacation Work Application form (attached)
• Submit with clear copies of:
  • Short CV
  • Certified copy of ID
  • Proof of studies (statement of results)
  • Proof of banking details (bank letter with stamp)
  • Proof of SARS registration number
• Upload all documents in one file to the vacancy portal on the Intranet (Springs → Vacancies → Let’s Talk)
• Internal applicants: inform your manager/supervisor of your application
• Incomplete applications will not be considered

Good to know

• Shortlisted candidates may be asked to complete psychometric assessments
• Preference will be given to employees from designated groups in line with the Employment Equity Act
• If you do not hear from HR within 30 days after the closing date, your application is considered unsuccessful
