Implats Bursary Programme 2027

Impala Platinum Refineries offers a full-time tertiary bursary for high-performing Grade 12 learners aiming to study engineering or science at NQF Level 7 (degree).

What it offers

• Financial assistance covering tuition, accommodation, and study materials
• December/January vacation work at the refineries
• Skills development for long-term career growth

Who can apply

• Current Grade 12 learners
• Mathematics: minimum 60% (Level 5)
• English: minimum 60% (Level 5)
• Physical Science: minimum 60% (Level 5)

What you'll do

• Pursue a degree in one of the supported fields:
  • Electrical Engineering (preferably Heavy Current)
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Chemical Engineering / Metallurgical Engineering
  • Chemistry

• If no response is received within 30 days after the closing date, consider your application unsuccessful.
• Preference is given to scholars from Eastern Ekurhuleni, Ward 72, and schools surrounding the operation.
• Impala Platinum will never request payment as part of the application process.
