Residential Private Chef at Nutrawell Africa Limited

A live-in role preparing daily meals for a family of four in Ruiru, Kiambu, with provided accommodation and a monthly salary range.

What it offers

• Salary: KSh 20,000 – 35,000 per month, depending on experience, qualifications, and cooking skills
• Accommodation: Provided, including a private room/sleeping area
• Working hours: 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM, with reasonable breaks
• Meals covered: Breakfast, lunch and supper for a family of four

Who can apply

• Experience: At least 5 years in a Private Chef, Household Chef, Home Cook, Restaurant Chef, Hotel Chef or similar role
• Qualifications: BA/BSc/HND, Diploma, First School Leaving Certificate, or MBA/MSc/MA
• Requirements: Must provide at least two reliable references from previous employers; a valid food-handler/medical certificate is an advantage; professional culinary training or certification is an added advantage

What you'll do

• Prepare daily breakfast, lunch and supper for a family of four
• Plan weekly menus according to the family’s preferences
• Prepare Kenyan, African, continental and international dishes
• Maintain high food hygiene and safety standards
• Keep the kitchen, refrigerator, pantry, utensils and equipment clean and organized
• Monitor food supplies and inform the household when groceries need replenishing
• Accommodate dietary preferences, allergies or special meal requirements
• Prepare meals for guests when required
• Respect the family’s privacy, routines and personal boundaries
• Maintain strict confidentiality regarding the household and family
