Dube TradePort Bursary 2027: KZN Bursary for Non-NSFAS Students

Dube TradePort’s bursary supports KwaZulu-Natal residents who do not qualify for NSFAS and are studying specific fields at public universities in the province.

What it offers

• Bursaries for 2027 enrolments covering tuition for students in 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year.
• Funding is awarded based on available budget, parent/guardian affordability, and academic performance.

Who can apply

• Must be a South African resident of KwaZulu-Natal.
• Ideally aged 18–34.
• Must not qualify for NSFAS.
• Must be able to provide proof of household income.

What you'll do

• Study one of the following disciplines:
  • Engineering Studies
  • Agricultural Studies (Crops/Plants)
  • Information Technology Studies
  • Built Environment Studies
• Enroll at one of these institutions:
  • Durban University of Technology (DUT)
  • Mangosuthu University of Technology (MUT)
  • University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN)
  • University of Zululand (UniZulu)

How to apply

• Apply through the SAYouth platform (must be a member).
• If no response is received 4 weeks after the closing date, consider the application unsuccessful.

Good to know

• Private institutions are excluded.
• Travel may be required for interviews and work if successful.
