Individual Consultant – Campus Africa Programme Implementation Support

UNESCO is seeking an Individual Consultant to support the implementation of the Campus Africa Programme in Eastern Africa, focusing on higher education transformation, research capacity, employability, and regional integration.

• Work under the supervision of the Education Unit Head and Programme Specialist responsible for Campus Africa.

What you'll do

• Support five key work areas from the 2026–2027 Campus Africa workplan:
  • Finalise the “Empowering Women in Applied STEM” research project across Anglophone Eastern African countries.
  • Publish and disseminate the pilot phase of the same research project.
  • Provide technical and programmatic support to the Education Track of the East African Alliance for Digital Skills, AI Research and Innovation (AI for EAC).
  • Strengthen social entrepreneurship skills for student innovators in East Africa.
  • Promote awareness, regional dialogue, and capacity building on recognition of qualifications and the Addis Ababa Convention.
• Draft proposals, coordinate networking, and participate in workshops across the region.
• Undertake missions to other countries in Eastern Africa as required by the programme, subject to UNESCO travel authorisation.
