Nairobi Research Facilitator Vacancy

The Refugee-Led Research Hub is seeking a Nairobi-based Research Facilitator to coordinate and deliver a 12-month graduate traineeship for recent Mastercard Foundation Scholars, supporting their transition into research and professional careers.

What it offers

• A fixed-term, full-time role based at the British Institute in Eastern Africa in Kileleshwa, Nairobi.
• Coordination and delivery of the in-person Graduate Traineeship, supporting recent graduates to develop practical and leadership skills in research or operations and project coordination.
• Each trainee completes a final capstone project.
• Provision of one-to-one mentorship to a cohort of six trainees.
• Delivery of workshops, facilitation of research activities across Kenya, and support for fieldwork, dissemination, and research resource development.

Who can apply

• Candidates with a master’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
• Strong qualitative research skills and a track record of coordinating projects.
• Experience supporting learners through mentorship, teaching, or supervision.
• Community engagement experience in Kenya or East Africa.
• A clear commitment to refugee leadership in research.
• RLRH particularly encourages applications from individuals affected by displacement and those from historically under-represented groups, including BIPOC, disabled, LGBTQI+, and women.
