Kenya Presidential Digital Talent Programme 2026 Cohort XI

The Kenya Presidential Digital Talent Programme (PDTP) Cohort XI is a government initiative to build high-end ICT talent by matching graduates with industry needs through workplace experience, mentorship, and professional networks.

What it offers

• Deployment across 47 counties in Kenya

Who can apply

• Kenyan youth aged 21–29 and unemployed
• Recent graduates with a First Class or Second Class Honours – Upper Division (or equivalent) from a recognized institution within the last two years (from January 2024)
• Final-year students awaiting graduation by December 2026 must provide a signed and stamped recommendation/reference letter from the university confirming the award of First or Upper Second-Class Honours
• Degree in BSc. ICT or Engineering (Electrical & Electronics, Telecommunication, Systems/Software, Security)
• Must demonstrate technical competencies in core areas prior to interview
• Must not have previously undertaken a Government of Kenya internship programme

What you'll do

• Gain full-time employment experience (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM) in any Ministry, Department, or Agency (MCDA) across Kenya
• Build professional networks and receive mentorship in one of the following specialization tracks:
  • Networks & Digital Infrastructure
  • Software Development & AI
  • Information Security
  • Data Analytics
  • Multimedia (Graphic Design & Digital Marketing)

• Submit correct information; false/misleading information may result in a fine not exceeding Kshs. 200,000 or imprisonment up to 2 years
• Attach required documents:
  • Copies of National ID card/Passport
  • KCSE certificate
  • Degree Certificate or Recommendation/Reference letter
  • Passport Size Photo
• Only applications submitted within 21 days from the advertise date will be accepted
• Foreign university graduates must attach:
  • KNQA verification certificates
  • Official translation from the Embassy
  • Degree grade equivalent (GPA to Kenyan public university equivalent)
• If degree certificate not yet collected, attach a Dean-signed/stamped letter indicating First/Upper Second-Class Honours to be awarded
