Auditor-General South Africa (AGSA) Bursary 2027

The Auditor-General South Africa (AGSA) offers bursaries to support students pursuing a Chartered Accountant (CA) designation at SAICA-accredited universities in South Africa.

What it offers

• Covers tuition fees, university accommodation, meals, and books.
• Recipients must complete articles/training contracts with AGSA after graduation.

Who can apply

• South African citizens only.
• Must be studying or intending to study full-time towards a CA qualification (e.g., BCom Accounting CA stream, Bachelor of Accounting CA stream, BCompt) at a SAICA-accredited university.
• Matriculants: Must have matric exemption, 60%+ in English and Maths (not Maths Literacy), and 60%+ in Financial Accounting.
• Current students:
  • 1st year: 60%+ in Financial Accounting, 60%+ in Maths and English in Matric, and university acceptance.
  • 2nd year: 60%+ in Financial Accounting and Management Accounting.
  • 3rd year: 55%+ in all core CA modules and acceptance into the CTA programme.

How to apply

• Applications open in August and close mid-October each year.
• Submit:
  • Copy of ID.
  • Grade 11 year-end results (matriculants) or full academic record (current students).
  • University acceptance letter (matriculants) or CTA acceptance letter (3rd years).
  • Matric results (current students).
