Swahili Teacher

AsOne High School is seeking a Swahili Teacher to deliver Kiswahili instruction in Luuka and Serere, Uganda, starting January 2027.

What you'll do

• Plan, prepare, and deliver Kiswahili lessons aligned with the national secondary curriculum and UNEB syllabus.
• Develop schemes of work, lesson plans, and assessment schedules for O-Level and/or A-Level classes.
• Teach grammar, vocabulary, comprehension, composition (insha), and oral communication skills.
• Use varied teaching methods such as guided reading, role-play, songs, dialogue practice, and discussion-based analysis.
• Set, administer, and mark class tests, assignments, compositions, and examinations.
• Provide timely and constructive feedback to students.
• Track learner performance and progress, identifying gaps and providing remedial support.
• Prepare students for national examinations (UCE/UACE) and internal assessments.
