FAWE Ghana Mastercard Foundation Second Chance Pathways 2026 | Third Cohort Application

The FAWE Ghana Mastercard Foundation Second Chance Pathways programme offers fully funded bursaries for marginalized young people to pursue STEM-related diplomas or Higher National Diplomas at partner TVET institutions in Ghana.

What it offers

• 200 fully funded bursaries for the 2026/2027 academic year.
• 80% reserved for female applicants and 20% for male applicants.
• 5-15% allocated to Persons with Disabilities (PWD) and those with refugee or internally displaced status.
• Supports 3-year Higher National Diploma (HND) or 2-year Diploma in STEM-related programmes.

Who can apply

• Applicants must have completed WASSCE or Certificate II and qualify for tertiary education.
• Must demonstrate financial need.
• Aged 15-25 years at the time of application.
• Must have already gained admission into one of FAWE Ghana’s eleven partner institutions:
  • Accra Technical University
  • Bolgatanga Technical University
  • Cape Coast Technical University
  • Dr. Hilla Limann Technical University
  • Ho Technical University
  • Koforidua Technical University
  • Kumasi Technical University
  • Sunyani Technical University
  • Takoradi Technical University
  • Tamale Technical University
  • University of Skills Training and Entrepreneurial Development (USTED)
• Must be committed to giving back to their communities through service and development.
• Strongly encouraged to apply: Young people living with disability; refugees or internally displaced persons; orphaned or from single-parent households; living with or affected by family living with HIV/AIDS; or facing extenuating financial difficulties.

• Pursue a STEM-related diploma or HND at a partner TVET institution in Ghana.

• The programme does not support continuing students, top-up programmes, degree programmes, or students with conditional or probationary admission.
