Who can apply

• Certificate or Diploma in Motor Vehicle Spray Painting, Automotive Refinishing, or a related field
• 2–3 years of proven experience in automotive painting within a vehicle assembly or repair environment
• Knowledge of automotive paint systems, color matching, and spray-painting techniques
• Ability to operate spray-painting equipment and related tools safely and effectively
• Good attention to detail and commitment to high-quality finishes
• Understanding of workplace health, safety, and environmental requirements
• Good communication and teamwork skills

What you'll do

• Prepare vehicle bodies and components by cleaning, sanding, masking, and priming surfaces
• Mix paints, hardeners, and thinners according to manufacturer specifications
• Apply primer, base coat, clear coat, and other protective finishes using spray-painting equipment
• Inspect painted surfaces for defects and carry out corrective work
• Match paint colors to approved vehicle specifications
• Operate and maintain spray booths, spray guns, compressors, and other painting equipment
• Ensure proper drying and curing of painted components
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe paint shop
• Handle paints and hazardous materials safely and in compliance with regulations
• Work closely with assembly, body building, and quality control teams to meet production schedules
• Perform routine maintenance on painting equipment and report faults
