Consultancy Assignments for Green Climate Fund (GCF) Readiness

Practical Action is inviting bids from consultants or consultancy firms to support its Green Climate Fund (GCF) accreditation readiness through two assignments: GCF Fiduciary Readiness and Environmental and Social Management System (ESMS) development.

What it offers

• Two consulting assignments:
  • GCF Fiduciary Readiness: verify internal assessment findings, review fiduciary systems and processes, and provide recommendations to strengthen systems and policies.
  • GCF ESMS Consultant: verify internal assessment findings, recommend policy updates, design ESMS tools, and support staff capacity building.

Who can apply

• Consultants or consultancy firms may bid for either or both opportunities.
• Applicants must have:
  • A demonstrable track record in GCF accreditation support, including specific examples of entities supported and the accreditation category achieved.
  • Deep technical knowledge of GCF’s fiduciary standards (for Fiduciary Readiness) or ESMS requirements (for ESMS Consultant).
  • Experience developing fiduciary policies (for Fiduciary Readiness) or ESMS documentation (for ESMS Consultant) for international non-government organisations (INGOs).
  • Familiarity with GCF Gender Policy requirements.
  • Strong written English and ability to produce clear, practical documentation accessible to non-specialist programme staff.
• For the ESMS Consultant role, firms must demonstrate that the lead consultant meets the essential criteria.
