Remote Communications Specialist (Content Writer and Editor)

The Agroecology Fund is hiring a full-time, remote Communications Specialist to lead editorial content that amplifies grassroots agroecology movements and produce the annual flagship report.

What it offers

• Full-time, remote position based in the Eastern Time Zone
• Compensation: $75,000–$80,000/yr plus strong vacation and benefits

Who can apply

• Advanced university degree (Master’s or equivalent) in Communications, Journalism, English, International Development, or a relevant field
• Minimum 5–7 years of progressively responsible experience in writing, editing, journalism, publishing, editorial communications, or communications for international development

What you'll do

• Lead development of editorial content including annual report, feature stories, blogs, newsletters, briefs, press materials, and repackaged reports
• Serve as lead writer/editor for high-profile donor products and maintain editorial style guides and standards
• Coordinate multilingual workflows across English, Spanish, French, and Portuguese
• Commission and manage external freelance writers, editors, copy editors, and translators
• Coordinate publication and strategic dissemination across print and digital platforms
