AIMS Master of Science in Mathematical Sciences for Teachers (MMST) Program 2026/2027

Applications are now open for the 2026/2027 AIMS Master of Science in Mathematical Sciences for Teachers (MMST) Program, a two-year part-time online program designed for mathematics teachers across Africa.

What it offers

• Full scholarship covering tuition
• Two-year duration delivered in three phases: skills, review, and research
• Online delivery for non-Ghanaian applicants; hybrid delivery for Ghana-based applicants
• 40-semester course load including project-based research
• Typical courses: Mathematical Proofs with Logic, Calculus, Linear Algebra, Pedagogical Theory in Mathematical Education, Data Science, Financial Mathematics, Python and R programming, and more

Who can apply

• Must hold a bachelor’s degree with sufficient mathematical background
• Must be from an African country
• Must currently be teaching mathematics at the Junior or Senior High School level (Grade 7–12)

What you'll do

• Expand knowledge of mathematical foundations related to secondary school curricula
• Learn modern mathematics applications and research-informed teaching methods
• Complete project-based research integrated across the program
