DAFI Scholarship 2026-2027 in Rwanda

DAFI Scholarship 2026-2027 in Rwanda supports refugee and asylum-seeker students in Rwanda to complete an undergraduate degree or accredited TVET programme.

What it offers

• Covers tuition, study materials, food, transportation, and accommodation
• Supports ISCED level 6 bachelor’s degrees and ISCED level 5 accredited TVET programmes of two years or more
• Does not cover master’s degree programmes

Who can apply

• Recognized refugees or asylum seekers living in Rwanda
• Priority given to those with excellent academic performance
• Must have been accepted to a university in Rwanda
• Only one family member per household may apply
• Not eligible if currently receiving another higher education scholarship
• Not eligible if confirmed for resettlement to a third country
• Female applicants and persons with special needs education are highly encouraged

How to apply

• Submit an application via the DAFI online form: Rwanda 2026 DAFI Call for applications
• Applications accepted from 15 July to 7 August 2026
• Required documents:
  • UNHCR proof of registration
  • Official/certified copy of high school diploma
  • University admission letter or proof of acceptance
  • Equivalence certificate from the Ministry of Education of the country of asylum
• Late applications will not be considered
