Health, Safety and Environment Supervisor, Northern Nigeria

Golden Penny Foods, a subsidiary of Flour Mills of Nigeria Plc, is seeking an HSE Supervisor to uphold workplace safety and environmental standards in its Northern Nigeria operations.

• A role focused on implementing and improving health, safety, and environmental standards across the facility.

Who can apply

• Candidates must possess 5 O’ level Credits including English & Mathematics in not more than two sittings.
• An OND qualification in a related field such as Environmental Sciences, Engineering or a related discipline is required.
• Applicants must have a minimum of two (2) years’ cognate experience in Health, Safety & Environment management.
• Experience within a manufacturing environment is highly preferred.

What you'll do

• Conduct routine inspections to identify hazards, unsafe acts, and unsafe working conditions.
• Promote safety awareness through training, education, and employee engagement initiatives.
• Manage first aid facilities and ensure prompt response to workplace injuries and incidents.
• Investigate and report accidents, incidents, and near misses, while driving corrective actions.
• Support the development, review, and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Participate in safety audits, safety observations, and workplace risk assessments.
• Maintain accurate HSE records, reports, and documentation.
• Drive compliance with HSE regulations, corporate safety policies, FSSC requirements, HACCP, EIA, and OSHA standards.
