Provision of Business Development Services (BDS)

UNCDF is inviting eligible firms to bid for a 36-month contract to deliver tailored business advisory services to nature-based tourism MSMEs in Uganda, supporting 800 firms with pre-investment readiness and 200 with post-investment support.

What it offers

• A 36-month assignment to provide:
  • Pre-investment readiness services to 800 MSMEs
  • Post-investment advisory support to 200 MSMEs
• Implementation across Uganda’s priority tourism circuits

Who can apply

• Firms legally registered in Uganda
• International firms able to demonstrate an established local presence and operational capacity in Uganda

What you'll do

• Conduct outreach and mobilization of eligible nature-based tourism MSMEs
• Undertake business diagnostics and investment readiness assessments
• Deliver tailored pre-investment services (training, coaching, business plan development, financial projections, investment proposals)
• Facilitate linkages between MSMEs and financial institutions
• Provide post-investment advisory services to strengthen business performance, financial management, sustainability, and growth
• Integrate digitalization, environmental sustainability, and gender-responsive approaches
• Monitor enterprise progress and report performance data
