Technical Expert, Distributed

As a Technical Expert in Siemens Energy’s Distributed Products portfolio, you will serve as the primary technical focal point for customers and field teams, coordinating complex outages and troubleshooting gas turbine issues to improve reliability and customer satisfaction.

Who can apply

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Power Engineering or a related discipline
• Experience in Field Service, Technical Support, Service Engineering, or Maintenance Engineering
• Strong technical knowledge of rotating equipment, especially gas turbines and auxiliary systems
• Fluent English, both written and spoken
• Willingness to travel occasionally to customer sites

What you'll do

• Act as Tier 1 technical support focal point for customers and field teams
• Coordinate outage preparation and execution, including tailored outage plans
• Analyze equipment performance and maintenance data to improve reliability
• Provide technical guidance during inspections, commissioning, and troubleshooting
• Review oil analysis, diagnostic reports, and technical bulletins to recommend corrective actions
• Support project planning, overhaul preparation, and risk assessments
• Capture lessons learned and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
