Field Services Engineer (Remote)

GE Vernova is hiring a remote Field Services Engineer to install, maintain, and troubleshoot motors, drives, and related systems on customer sites.

What it offers

• A fully remote role performing onsite installation, commissioning, refurbishment, startup, maintenance, troubleshooting, and upgrades of synchronous and induction machines, excitation & AVR systems, and variable speed drives.
• Responsibility for emergency repairs, technical instruction to customers, and leadership of skilled labor crews.

Who can apply

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum of 5 years of variable speed drives systems field experience.

What you'll do

• Perform on-site installation, commissioning, refurbishment, startup, maintenance, troubleshooting, and upgrades.
• Respond to emergency repair requests and provide technical instruction to customer representatives.
• Write technical reports, order materials, secure quotations, prepare job status reports, and maintain time and expense sheets.
• Lead skilled labor teams and uphold GE safety standards.
• Prepare accurate technical reports for customer records.
