The Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program builds Africa’s next generation of leaders by funding education and transitions to work for young Africans.

What it offers

• Over 58,000 scholarships committed to date, with a goal of 100,000 by 2030.
• Financial support including tuition fees, accommodation, books and academic materials, mentoring, counselling, leadership development, and a return air ticket to the scholar’s country of origin when necessary.
• Psychosocial and academic support throughout the scholar’s journey.
• Scholarships available at secondary, undergraduate, and master’s levels; not available for PhD candidates.
